Bed and Breakfasts Near Old Town

There’s really just one Bed and Breakfast in Old Town. Peake-Fairfax House is a Federal home located in Old Town. It only has two bedroom suites available, but there’s not a first floor bedroom. It has a door that faces Cameron Street, that leads to the library. The library is open to guests. The other door leads to the private residence. It has a formal dining room, where guests have breakfast. This home is furnished with beautiful antiques, oil paintings, Persian carpets and a private walled garden

The kitchen wing of the house was originally a separate house used as a summer kitchen and servants’ quarters. The downstairs powder room is conveniently located in the kitchen wing, not far from the side door. Guests may take refreshments from the kitchen at all hours. A side door leads to Pitt Street and the parking patio, where guests may have off-street parking.

There’s also a great “boutique” Hotel that’s in a perfect location! Hotel Monaco is at 480 King Street, it’s near great shops and restaurants, and there’s a french cafe next door which was great for breakfast! As a very highly rated hotel, it’s the spot many people use for their wedding! It has a fun eclectic lobby, and a “kids hour” so that adults can have a few minutes with a glass of wine without worrying about the kids!
