Let’s Meat has Kobe Burgers

If there is one thing I love its a good cheeseburger but I’m a bit of burger snob. If it’s overcooked I have to send it back.  If its a “Bubba burger” (from Harris Teeter) I’d rather not bother. I prefer high quality meat cooked medium rare.  That’s why I love the Kobe Burger from Let’s Meat in Delray!

I first tried a Kobe burger at Mandalay Bay in Vegas. It was the juiciest most tender burger I have ever tasted. It was like a burger made of tenderloin. Known as being one of the most succulent and delectable meats in the world, this beef comes from Wagyu cattle in the Kobe region of Japan.

Imagine my delight when I discovered that my favorite local butcher carried Kobe beef patties. “Let’s Meat On The Avenue” located right in Delray offers a nice variety of pasture-fed, free range and hormone free meat, poultry and sausage.

Originally from England, Steve had been formally trained as a butcher before moving to the states in the early 90s. I’ve known Steve for many years and not only is he a master butcher but he is also a well-traveled and adventurous guy.  After a successful career in the advertising business  he decided to follow his dream and open a butcher shop in 2007. Four years later his shop is an Alexandria staple.  We are so lucky to have great Gourmet Shops in Old Town, Delray and Alexandria!

Let’s Meat On The Avenue  is located at 2403 Mt. Vernon Avenue, Alexandria
