Ah Love Oil & Vinegar

Olive oil boutiques are popping up all over the country and our area is no exception. Yesterday I was driving through Shirlington and saw a rare opportunity for a parking spot right on the main drag in front of Ah Love Oil & Vinegar. I’ve been meaning to go there especially since my post about Olio Tasting Room so I decided to check it out. (Yes Shirlington is technically Arlington but it’s right on the border).

Ah Love Oil is well organized with high quality oils from small batch producers around the world. Similar oils are displayed together. For example one table featured oils infused with herbs like basil and Italian herbs. Another table had oils infused with citrus. Balsamic vinegars are grouped together in another place. You are free to explore and taste as many combinations as you like. They provide complimentary bread from Best Buns across the street.

I still have plenty of portobello garlic oil and walnut chipotle vinegar from my last excursion ( I might think twice about that combination next time but I’m still experimenting with ways to use it). I decided to play it safe and go the citrus route with the Persian Lime olive oil and Cucumber Melon vinegar.

I can tell you that after 3 weeks of using this oil and vinegar I am completely addicted to this combination. It’s all I use on my salads with a little salt and pepper.
