I lived in Waynewood for kindergarten and first grade and discovered the best kids store ever, the Hollin Hall Variety Store. They have a whole aisle devoted to every kind of candy you can imagine and another with more little toys that you can count. Over the years many a stocking stuffer came from this store.

The Hollin Hall Variety Store is located in the Hollin Hall Shopping Center between the Safeway and The Blossom Shop. The Variety Store is a True Value store servicing the Fort Hunt area with a store that sells just about everything from candy to crafting.

It’s a great Alexandria Virginia mainstay. Someone on Yelp said, “. If you can’t find it there then I would just stop looking in general.” I agree!
