The other night we went had dinner at Yamazoto on the West End. My kid’s pediatrician used to be in the same building so I’d passed by before but never tried it because it was either too early for lunch or I had small children with me.
After reading the reviews on yelp my husband wanted to try it the other night. I was looking for more of an atmosphere and skeptical about the unassuming location (Little River Turnpike and Beauregard).
Boy was I wrong. I do have to give the guy credit. He knows how to pick restaurants.
When we arrived the place was packed. The restaurant itself is modern with a nice atmosphere and down tempo background music. The menu includes a wide selection of sushi and Thai dishes.
We started with the lettuce wraps, then tuna avocado rolls and finally penang chicken curry. It was all delicious. We had the tempura ice cream for desert which was just okay (although we did eat it all)
The service was quick and friendly and we spent less than $80 including tip and a bottle of wine.
