Eisenhower Consignment

When it comes to home furnishings I have an affinity for consignment shops.  I’ve furnished much of my living and dining rooms with craigslist finds and consignment pieces. Upscale Resale in Merrifield was a long-time favorite of mine which has sadly gone out of business. So as I was leaving Whole Foods on Saturday and saw a sign for “Eisenhower Consignment” I didn’t waste any time looking into it.

Kim's puppy "Cookie" helps keep the shop

Open normally on Saturdays, they happened to be open on Columbus Day so I stopped by. Owned by two sisters, Kim Rotondo and Kay Mounts, they carry quality interior and garden decor, artwork and accessories. The shop has a great selection of everything from jewelry, to French Country furniture, original art work, Scout bags, custom drapery, children’s items and more. I chatted with Kim and Kay for a while and they couldn’t have been more lovely.

( I would have bought these Hunter boots  for $20 but they were 3 sizes too big for my older daughter)
